Summary:
We spent one night in Cesky Krumlov and booked our tour for 3pm. Marie was our tour guide and the later start gave time for the tour groups to leave. She was wonderful and adapted the tour for our multigenerational group. We visited many sights in the town and made our way to the top of the castle. She was very informative and gave an in depth history of the town. Which was fascinating to hear, We also got to hear her experiences growing up in the town under communism and how life has changed.

An excellent tour. Stepan knows the history of the town, the castle, and its place in history inside and out. He has lived there all his life, so he can tell you the details of what everyday life is like as well as the larger historical context. He’s flexible, too, so if you get interested in something along the way like local mushrooms and waterfowl, he can roll with it. The long, personalized tour is worth every penny.
