My husband and I choose the 1/2 day educational elephant home sanctuary experience in Koh Samui, Thailand and were delighted with every aspect of our time with the educators, guides, and elephants. Our leaders were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging, and shared about the elephant home’s philosophy, and purpose as well told us about the rescues of the elephants they care for on their site. We were guided expertly in mixing their supplemental food and feeding and petting them them. Then we walked a short distance in the low lands below a lush mountain area where the elephants foraged and watched one take a mud bath. We returned to our main staging area and were treated to a delicious vegetarian lunch.
And next we enjoyed seeing one of the elephants joyfully bathing inthe elephant pool.
Finally to say good bye and thank us, the staff had videoed us all in action throughout the day and complied it into a video for us to download and keep for ourselves.
We can’t speak highly enough about how well organized it was and what an inspiring day we had. It is a wonderful experience for individuals, couples or families. You can’t go wrong in supporting this organization!
