Hopewell Rocks Admission

Summary: This is a Must See Stop! Fantastic looking rock formations. Walking amongst these giant rock formations gave me the feeling of walking in another time. Awesomeness

Summary: This was my favorite attraction on my 11 day visit to Canada with the Pennsylvania Happy Travelers. The lady ranger was a teriffic guide. She made the visit exciting and interesting.

Summary: Admission for a family was $42.80 (2 adults & 2 children under 18y/o). The park offers a shuttle to drive you near to the beach for a cost otherwise there is a 10 min walk to go down 3 flight of steep stairs. There is a ramp at the end of the beach. You can walk on the beach when is low tide (between 3-5 pm aprox-check tide tables before you go). There is quite a distance from end to end. The rocks are especial and views are great. Some people rather wear flip flops to avoid mud. We recommended to visit it.

Summary: We enjoyed the stop here, the interpretive center has a lot of information we didn't stop to absorb. We walked to a couple of lookout points before we found the path to the beach access. If you prefer to get a shuttle to the beach access you can pay for that extra. There are stairs and the beach is rocky and muddy so wear good shoes. The rock formations are really impressive. We took a lot of photos. The sand is red/brown, the water was murky red and the day was cloudy and breezy, so not too hot. There are refreshment booths and a cafeteria and gift shop. The walkway to the entrance is under construction- pavers. It will be really nice when done. The pass seemed expensive, but the attendant reminded me it was good for two days. I suppose if you are camping nearby or something, or the tide is wrong when you go and you can come back when tide is out, that would be helpful, but it didn't apply to us, passing through for the day. We were there a little after low tide, which worked out well.
