Experience a Paraglider Flight with a Certified Instructor in Houston, Delaware

Experience a powered paraglider flight from Houston, Delaware, and discover a unique way to see local scenery, treetops, wildlife and birds up close - you can safely fly just a few feet off the ground for a three-dimensional view you won’t get at 1,000 feet, or choose to climb to 2,000 feet and glide down in near silence with only the wind in the lines and your own breathing to break the quiet. For takeoff the wing is laid out on the grass behind the trike, you throttle up, the wing rises, you taxi and then gently lift off at about 25 mph relative to the wind (so a 5 mph headwind leaves a groundspeed of roughly 20 mph), and you’ll be connected by helmet-to-helmet communication for the entire flight. Whether you’re booking an adventure, a family outing, a nature-focused tour, or a romantic experience through Varoom in Houston, Delaware, this powered paraglider offers intimate low-level sightseeing with the option to ascend for a broader perspective and a silent glide that many students call the highlight of their flight.

Summary: Although my experience was canceled due to equipment being maintenanced Chris was ver professional and tried his best to help me find another experience, kodos to him. If I ever do go back to Dover I will try to plan this experience. I had a bad experience at the Best Western Premier in Denver due to the manager Ashly, Chris sure could teach her a thing or two on how to treat a customer, he was excellent, she is awful, she is not a good person avoid the Best Western Premier at all cost.

Summary: I recently went up with Chris for my first paragliding flight. During the preflight Chris did an awesome job explaining the equipment and what could be expected. The takeoff, watching the ground fall from under us was byfar one of the coolest experiences I've had. I've flown many times but that's quite different than being suspended from a giant kite or wing. When I made the decision to go up I was wondering if my insurance policy was big enough but after the flight it seems there is a greater risk of accident on the ground, at least for me. Chris is passionate about this hobby and a great professional to trust for you adventure!

Summary: Such an enjoyable experience! It was a beautiful morning and, we were able to go quite high and get some amazing views of the area. Christopher is a very knowledgeable and detail oriented instructor. He was able to answer all of my questions and give a good instruction for someone with no flight experience. He was also very mindful of our safety which made me feel comfortable on the flight. I would highly recommend planning a trip with him if you get the chance.
