You will see the 'Valleys’ South Wales is renowned for and discover how the Welsh black gold, coal, shaped the landscape of today. Starting in the picturesque Parc Cefn Onn you will see and hear the history of this particular area before ascending to the crest of the Ridgeway. Pen Y Fan, 40 miles to the north and England to the south May be seen. As well as 2 different castles. You will see how industry still affects the landscape today. Descending to the west different vistas open up through beech woods leading to an historic public house where refreshments may be taken. Before a short walk back to the starting point.
