Summary: It was a last minute decision, but the execution was as if it was planned weeks in advance. Truly loved my first experience of watching Theyyam. Will definitely be back to watch a lot more. Lidin was very insightful on all the topics and helped navigate the ways to interact so as to not offend the practitioners of the ritual. The best 4 hours spent in Kannur.

Summary: Having grown up in India and immigrated to the US 25 years ago, Kerala had always been a dream destination. Summary: I took Mr. Lidin's tour in January and it was a life changing experience. I visited in November and loved it so much I decided to come back for a Theyyam immersive experience. Spent several days with Lidin going to different rituals. The rituals themselves were incredible, but it's Lidin that makes the experience so memorable. He's extremely attentive, accommodating, and knowledgable. He knows so much about this which is very impressive because there is so much to learn about this spectacular ritual. If you're in Kerala, or India for that matter, you have to come for this experience. There truly is nothing like it.

Lidin guided us through the process, and we had a brief interaction with the performers before to the event. This adds a lot of enthusiasm and energy to witness the performance.
