Summary: Maria was my tour guide, we met at the Walgreens in Utuado (the day before, she sent an address pin for the meeting spot). She was super helpful and knowledgeable. Very nice. She provided the safety gear and a wooden walking stick. The tour lasted about 2 hours. She taught us some history and facts about the agriculture of PR. She took the photos I’ve uploaded with this review! Things to keep in mind: she’s from the mountains, when you follow her up the windy roads to get to the canyon, you should know she drives like a local. I was able to keep up, so it wasn’t too crazy, but the roads can be intimidating to some, so just be aware. Also, the tour is fully in Spanish. Wear shoes that are grippy! I had a pair of water shoes that weren’t very grippy and I would’ve felt more secure with better shoes. One of the other ppl with me wore flip flops and she ended up just going barefoot for most of the trek.
