Summary: We rode the Lake Winnipesaukee scenic train ride from Meredith to Lakeport. Nice relaxing ride for a fall day. Loved the scenery. We rode first class but we were the last ones to board. We had to wait for all the bus trip tours to board and the turkey truck to load the turkey dinners (which we did not order). Other than that, it was a nice ride.

Summary: We rode the train while on a bus tour of Maine and New Hampshire. I wasn't expecting much from the food (maybe prepackaged turkey) We were served a complete turkey dinner with the roasted turkey carved at our seats! The scenery along the lake was picturesque. Our server Jim N was very talkative and told us all about the history of the turkey dinner as well as the area.

Summary: We did the 4 hour train ride which included a stop for lunch. Jim N. was our conductor and he was fabulous. He was personable and so knowledgeable, not only about the scenery but the history of the towns and how their economy has been affected. He answered our questions and offered stories about each town. Thank you Jim for making our ride so enjoyable!!!!
