Summary: My Partner and I were very impressed with the private snorkeling tour. Although I am writing this review a little late I still wanted to credit Lemuel Diaz for the amazing experience that we had. The knowledge that this man provided was amazing. He was so resourceful and showcased urchins, a starfish, a lobster, and we even got a chance to see two types of stingrays. I have always loved the natural beauty of this planet and seeing the colorful reef, fish, and marine life was such an amazing view on our quick visit to Culebra. I sit here writing this thinking about how much more time I would love to spend absorbing the reef in, taking in these natural beauties, and practice with my photography (first time underwater photos), and not only that learn so much more information from this tour guide and learning about the wonders and destruction that has come from people. These aquatic systems are so important to this world and absorbing all the good and bad facts he provided really gives a reality check about how important our coral reefs are. I genuinely want to come back to Puerto Rico. I want to explore the reefs more and see marine life. And If I am to come back I definitely want to tour with this company again. The resourcefulness and the accommodations they provided are excellent. I just think of these memories in wonder, in beauty, and in awe. Thank you so much for providing this excellent service. I wish I had more time with my partner to have done the two beach tours. Also we saw one of the big tank bullets in the water that he picked up and showed us too along with efforts to have the reef grow on cages (I believe they were). I am so happy to see people take the effort to save these important factors of waterlife. He also had a friend visitor that came along who also was very pretty too! Also when the spotted stingray came into view he waved me over with my cheapo off brand go pro camera (so I could do underwater pictures) and I am not a super fast swimmer but he grabbed my wrist pulling me towards the stingray so that I could try to get some shots with my camera! I have been a photographer since about 2015 and did photos before as a hobby. But underwater photography is completely new to me. I wish I was able to showcase all the beauty a lot more. I appreciate him helping me get to see the stingray! I got some snaps of it which will go up on my social media (Emme Creative Arts) and I was able to get a snippet of a video of the stingray majestically swimming. They also said these precious creatures are not seen on every tour and we were lucky to not see one once but see it up to 3 times along with another spotted stingray! I will be doing more research to take underwater pictures and If I do ever come back to this place I will definitely strive to showcase the natural beauty of marine life and coral life. They also provided the snorkeling gear and life vests. Personally, the life vest felt like it got in my way but is a great device to just float above the reef! But it is amazing they provide all these to help with accommodations for everyone no matter swim level or age range! I definitely will recommend this to anyone I hear may travel to Culebra Island! This tour may seem expensive, but you gain knowledge of the reef, marine life, human impact, equipment usage that they clean properly, and enjoying a relaxing and beautiful journey through the reef. I highly recommend people to try this out and spend the extra money to enjoy two beaches if you can! Please keep up the amazing work with this! I know my partner and I could not stop talking about this adventure and this is one of the reasons I really want to come back to Puerto Rico and its Islands like this one, Culebra! I also hope my pictures are enjoyed! And I very, very much appreciated that this tour was only a private group with my partner, I, and Lemuel with his friend! This tour with locals provides an excellent adventure and informative session that can be easily talked with through a small group of people. Although there are other snorkeling groups as a possibility this was one of few that had aspects of a private tour! I definitely recommend this more so with having that ability to have a private tour! Now for my essay of a review being over. I do very much appreciate this tour. My partner, Chris, also very much appreciated the tour. Thank you to the whole team of Culebra Snorkel with Locals for providing this experience and keep up the amazing work! Thank you for keeping the reef safe and us as people safe. - Emme Emme Creative Arts

Summary: Lemuel is very welcoming and accommodating and organizes the snorkel experience. Give him a call if you have any questions, and he will even make adjustments for starting times, if possible. Good quality Cressi mask, fins, snorkels and life vests are provided. Melones Beach is well protected, so even though large waves and moderate wind were on the other side of the island, only small ripples were in the water here. Sarah was our guide in the water, has years of experience, and finds joy in introducing newcomers to snorkeling and the beautiful coral reef. She has a passion for the sea, and imparts a great respect for the fragile coral reef. She very carefully led us out so as not to disturb any of the coral. Our life vests allowed us to float over the coral only 3-6 feet below, and very close to shore. The vivid colors and shapes of the coral, and the spectacularly colored and shaped tropical fish exceeds any nature video. Sarah led our group of seven slowly long the edge of the reef, stopping frequently to explain the different type of coral and fish. My wife is not a strong swimmer and was initially reluctant to consider a snorkel tour, but was so happy we went with Lemuel and Sarah on this spectacular and truly safe adventure. To top it off, Lemuel was good enough to drive a left behind watch right to our villa! I could not recommend Culebra Snorkel with Locals more highly.

Summary: If you’re ever in San Juan and decide to take the ferry to culebra This is the place to book our tour guide Lemuel went above and beyond to make sure me and my friend had a great time. The island is beautiful the coral under the water looked so magical like something out of a movie. If you ever that way check out Lemuel and snorkeling with locals!
