Summary: We booked for the English language tour and were lucky enough to be the only two, so our guide, Eric, had our full attention. The distillery is the only independent one in Cognac and Eric took us through the whole process of the production of cognac, from the harvesting of the grapes to the final bottled product. The blending of the spirit and the grades were demonstrated in the tasting at the end of the comprehensive tour. Eric took great care in pointing out the differences between the younger and more mature blends, as well as how to drink cognac to enjoy it at its best. We came away after an hour and a half very appreciative of our visit and thoroughly recommend booking this tour if in the Cognac region.
