Take the Full-Circle "Reverse" Luxury Road to Hana Tour from South Maui (Kihei)

You’ll travel all the way around the mountain so you don’t see the same thing twice, driving in reverse the way the locals do to experience the rainforest, waterfalls, streams, freshwater ponds, bamboo forests and lush foliage along the Road to Hana on Maui; this tour is led by a Native Hawaiian husband-and-wife team born and raised in Hawaii, who share Hawaiian culture, history and personal stories about island life while treating you like a VIP. Our family history goes back 150 years and relatives still live in a little community out on the Road to Hana, and during the tour you’ll stop at our family’s fruit stand - operating for 40 years and home of “the original banana bread” - as we traverse the rigid, rugged terrain on the backside of Maui. Hot lunch and a souvenir backpack are included, making this an ideal full-day Outdoor & Nature and Tours & Sightseeing experience when you’re staying in or near Kihei, Hawaii.

Summary: We visited Maui and had the concierge at our hotel set up tours. Glad they set us up with this company. We were picked up from our hotel on time. The vehicle was comfortable and the group was small. Brandon and Jenelle were wonderful guides. Lots of history. Sometimes overwhelming but great historical information. We were able to visit many places that truly would have been a hassle for us to coordinate. The stops were in places we loved and we did not feel rushed. A light breakfast of the most delicious banana bread was served. Lunch consisted of fresh fish, brown rice and sweet potato macaroni salad (which was yummy). Windy roads made me car sick And they had ginger melts and wonderful motion sickness wrist bands that truly helped calm my stomach. Book this experience. It was wonderful!

Summary: This tour was a great way to spend our first day in Maui. Every stop was interesting and came with beautiful views and unique excursions. Brandon was an excellent guide--knowledgable, experienced and full of aloha. The food was great. We had fun getting to know the others in our group and seeing how people from all over the world can bond over a shared adventure. Be prepared for a long day and changes in weather--you need to be flexible and go with the flow. We had some unexpected curve balls that Brandon navigated masterfully. Highly recommend!
