Summary: Carlos was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and encouraging, low key and very much a go-with-the-flow sorta guy. The hike itself was challenging and fun with wonderful geology and scenery along the way. Make sure you possess good balance and wear shoes that have some grip to them. Lots of rock-hopping; if you have slick soles, it'll make for a difficult trip. There are a few places that are best navigated by sliding on your butt over rocks ... might want to ditch the Speedo's for something a bit more rugged.

Summary: Our guide Santos was wonderful! I wouldn’t call this a hike, more like bouldering. We climbed over huge boulders. Santos was aways nearby to lend a hand or a word of encouragement. One of my favorite hikes! If you like adventure, a little challenge and fun- this is the right excursion!

Summary: Wonderful experience with excellent guide, Santos. Due to very little to no rainfall in the last year, the canyon was dry except for at or near the spring at the top. The scenery is spectacular in the canyon, including views back down to the Sea of Cortez and islands. We were glad we started in the early morning for great light for photos and cool temperatures. The hike is challenging but possible for fit people. Some sections require scrambling on steep rock faces and over boulders, as well as using fixed ropes or cables to pull yourself up. Santos was a huge help with navigating this difficult route and inspiring confidence. He also shared a wealth of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. Highly recommend!

Summary: Wild Loreto Tours are great! Santos is amazing. This tour to Tabor Canyon is not your normal hike. It is a combination of rock climbing, bouldering and steep inclines. There are 3 areas' where you need to use some ropes to get across to the next level. Santos helped very much in getting everyone into the Canyon safely. It was an experience I'll never forget, very challenging. He provided a protein snack, Powerade, and water.

Summary: This hike was a full body workout- a lot of the hike is bouldering and exploring. As someone who is very active and climbs- I loved it. Older couples stopped at the more convenient locations and waited for the return of the others who continued on till the end. Was a great way to start the day with exercise. As always the tour guides with Wild Loreto were great! Santos (a local from Loreto) was magnificent and very impressive with how he scaled and assisted hikers on the more complicated stretches. Was really pleased with the experience! ¡Gracias Santos! He deserves all the tips as he’s abilities and pride of the region were truly impressive!
