Summary: We took a taxi from our hotel in Valladolid which makes it easier. Lots of speed bumps! The place is a wonder of the world and very respectful of Maya traditions. Only been open a few years and everything is beautiful on the grounds but the cave Cenote is astounding! My husband walks with a cane and slowly but our guide was very patient and he made it through. The railings helped but a couple could have been longer. But the cave Cenote is astounding. Huge and beautiful. Hard to capture in photos. I highly recommend this experience!

Summary: Something very special and unique. I’ve been to several cenotes and I’ve always enjoyed the experience, but not like this! This is only been open to the public for six years, so it’s not very well known but it’s going to be! The cave has stalamites that are over 250,000 years old. It truly feels like a magical place. Water was cool, but not cold and lovely to swim in. The food was surprisingly good and the guides were extremely helpful. The one thing to know is it’s not an easy place to get to. If you’re coming from Valladolid, contact the tour directly and they will arrange for a taxi to bring you and take you back to your hotel.
