Summary: Great way to spend a day. You will learn all about the famous black pigs from which the famous hams come from. You will meet the family who run the pig farm and get to know them the pigs and the family dogs. You will then hike to the top of the hill upon which there farm is positioned for 360 degree views across to the west and south coasts. You will have a simple picnic up there before trekking back down and driving over for lunch at a local tavern serving food you won't find anywhere on the coast, a true gem. After this over to the village where Medronha, the local spirit it made before finishing up. The guide Matteo speaks great English and is very knowledgeable. A great day!
