Summary:
Stephanie, our personable host, told us about olive growing, and making olive oil. She was so welcoming, providing unique snacks, and coffee in a gorgeous, rustic courtyard overlooking the village and miles of olive trees. We tasted 2 varieties of Messinian extra virgin olive oil and had a lesson on taste profiles, along with bread and wine. We strolled under the grandmother of olive trees, as she has a number of ancient trees. It was a truly enjoyable morning, and the olive oil was fantastic!
