  • R22 – maximum weight 17st (108kg), please advise us if over 15st (95kg).
  • there is no minimum age for a helicopter lesson, however the student will need to physically be able to reach and operate all of the controls safely.
  • r44 – if you choose one of our r44 trial lessons you can take up to two friends with you free of charge (weight permitting). r44 maximum passenger weight 21st, please advise us if over 15st (95kg).
  • all passenger weights must be advised at time of booking. due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 15 stone (95 kg) should contact the carrier before booking.
  • flights are subject to suitable weather conditions. in the event of unsuitable weather, you will be offered an alternative date.
  • suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • if you do not speak english fluently we may not be able to instruct you effectively, in which case you may not be allowed on the controls.

Summary: Had a great introductory helicopter trial in the small R22. The instructor was great (very good at correcting all my amazing manoeuvres, ha ha) . Will definitely be back to try the R44!

Summary: This is an excellent Helicopter lesson. It is the first time I have ever been in a helicopter and it is absolutely amazing. I received a first class lesson from a very pleasant pilot who instructed me on all the necessary procedures and information concerning the cockpit controls and instruments. This seems to me to be the only way to get a hands on experience in a helicopter. All the staff were welcoming and had lots of information about everything one might wish to know about helicopters and all of my questions were answered. Comfortable and clean areas to sit in whilst waiting to receive my helicopter trial lesson certificate. Have always wanted to do this after seeing helicopters in my favourite films and TV series ! The helicopter itself is clean and tidy and well presented and was a pleasure to fly in.

Summary: From start to finish the team at EBG Helicopters were fantastic. Every question during the booking process was answered in a helpful manner by Geoff and the pilot Mark covered a professional and knowledgeable breakdown of the details of the helicopter and what happens via the controls during flight. It was a fantastic and fun experience which I would highly recommend to anyone with interest in or flying helicopters. I just wished I could have spent a little longer in the air getting used to the controls before having to land. It felt all too short, but that just proves how much I enjoyed the experience and I will deffinatly look into the details for a full lesson. A little longer would give you 100%. Thank you Gentleman you made my day. Mr P Shackell
