Toronto Tips-Based Walking Tour

Summary: Mena was very kind and she knew a lot about the city. She also made sure we were always standing in the shade as it was a very hot day. She also had a speaker which was very important in the bustling streets. The tour covered a lot of different aspects with a special focus on the 20th century.

Summary: Darren was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information as we went round the route. However, the pace was quite fast with little opportunity to stop and take photos. When we did stop, we then had to run to catch up with him as he kept going. Also, this was advertised as a free walking tour with a suggested gratuity. At the beginning of the walk, Darren then told us the company divided the gratuities by the number in the group. If this did not average as 30$, he didn't get paid. One lady had to leave early and she did not leave a tip as she had no cash. Darren was not impressed and asked her what she could give. Your website says that you accept our gratuities large or small but he made her feel very awkward. I didn’t like this pressure to give a certain amount before we even got started! I have done walking tours in other cities and not had this type of pressure. Please don’t advertise it as free when it is actually 30$ plus booking fee.

Summary: Eric and Juan did an excellent job on the tour. Eric’s passion of Quebec city was appreciated and his knowledge welcomed. It is well worth three hours as a were plenty of rest breaks throughout the tour. I recommend you booked directly through Toonie Tours if you can to bypass the service charge by the third-party.

He was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into the city’s history, culture, and landmarks while keeping the tour entertaining with interesting stories and a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed the experience and came away with a much better appreciation of Toronto. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

Summary: The tour was very comprehensive and stopped at all the main points of interest in Old Quebec City, both the Upper and Lower Cities. We also ventured outside the city gates to see the Parliament Building and at least talked about the Plains of Abraham but didn't actually see it. The guide was concise with his facts and information about each stop and gave opportunities at each stop for questions. The pace was very reasonable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the local knowledge he added
