West Glacier: Scenic Float on the Flathead River

Summary: I did a scenic float down Flathead River. This was a highlight of my “out West “ trip. Don’t let a misty or rainy day deter you from going because I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sisi was a super friendly & informative guide. She was so knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We saw eagles, osprey, deer, & ducks.

Summary: Friendly and fun guide (Sam) and a beautiful ride. Exactly what we expected and more. The water was COLD but our teens loved getting in and cooling off!

Summary: First whitewater trip and it was fun! We had did seven rapids—the second one was the best (it was a class 3 rapid). Cam was a fantastic guide—very knowledgeable and easy to talk with, and a lot of fun! I’d recommend this trip if it’s your first time whitewater rafting and you’re worried about it being too challenging. It’s the perfect trip. Thank you for the good memories!!

Summary: From the time we pulled into the parking lot until saying our farewells, everything ran super smooth! The check-in process was easy. We were provided with PFD's and paddles for the scenic rafting trip. The wetsuits and helmets were not necessary. There were only a few splashes on the scenic trip, so don't worry about getting soaked unless you choose to jump in at the designated jump-in area. This was a great 1st rafting experience for our 7-year old who was very nervous before the trip (even after a dozen YouTube videos!) and now wants to go on another trip right away!

Summary: Very calm and beautiful float trip. Some paddling requested, but very minimal. You will get wet up to your ankles when entering and exiting raft. Si Si was our guide and did a great job. Felt very safe and she was very friendly.

Summary: From parking, to checking in, to the tour, to the bus ride home, the staff was incredible. My dad is in a wheelchair and it is hard for him to walk any long distances. The staff was more than accommodating for anything he could need. They made this trip possible and I could not be more grateful to the company and staff for all they did. I would highly recommend them!

Summary: My husband and I were part of a tour group that did the scenic float down the river today. Luke was an amazing guide! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He took the time to get to know each of us, and we all had a wonderful time laughing and enjoying nature’s beauty all around us. We would highly recommend this tour and our guide, Luke.

Summary: I was born in Montana and moved to San Diego when I was twelve. I hated it and missed the beautiful Montana mountains. I would tell my young Grandson how beautiful it was and we planed to go some day. Fast-forward 20 years later, my grandson took me bank to Montana! There was his mom (my daughter) and his girlfriend. We stayed a week in Whitefish and on my 78th birthday day we booked a tour with Glacier Raft Co. Our guide PJ was wonderful! So knowledgeable, funny and skilled guiding our raft. We were so impressed with all the GRC people and how well they did everything, from getting suited up, bussing us and the rafts to and from the river. It was the most amazing and wonderful experience. I hope we do it again someday. We highly recommend going with the Glacier Rafting Company.

Summary: Josi G was the best guide- knowledgeable and friendly! Beautiful scenery and felt very safe. Definitely worth the cost.
