Wine experience with a sommelier

Summary: This was a wonderful experience. Our 2-hour boat ride up the Douro River was lovely. The staff was super friendly and very informative! The wine tasting and food was not only expansive, but also delicious. The information and details we learned about the DV olive & grape terraces/slopes was super interesting. We learned so much about the wine and port made in Portugal as well. We recommend this trip to everyone! Really really a lovely experience!

Summary: This was the best wine tour we have ever experienced. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Our sommelier quickly learned our tastes and had the wineries cater the tastings to our unique preferences and helped us identify some wonderful wine and ports. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and highly recommend them!

Summary: We had the best time with Pedro! We are frequent travelers from the US, and this tour was unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Pedro was recommended to us by the Six Senses hotel and we are so glad we spent 2 nights in the valley. Pedro was a lovely guide and we all had SO much fun touring Duoro Valley. Both the vineyards we visited were spectacular and we purchased wine from both. We just opened one of our reds and we can confirm it’s even BETTER back home! The sunset boat ride was the best ending to a spectacular day. Thank you Pedro for the most amazing experience! We will definitely be back.

Summary: Super day spent with our tour host Helio. He knows what customer service is and has made sure to arm himself with the knowledge of the region and the wine, port and gastronomy. Lunch at Quinta do Portal was the best food experience we had and was enhanced by our host George with his sense of humor and attention to detail. We had an amazing wine tasting experience like no other at Lavradores defeitoria. Eduardo is an individual with tremendous passion and knowledge on the industry. We will be back and most certainly be reliant on Helio as a tour guide.

Summary: We enjoyed a half day tour with our sommelier guide, Helio. Gracious, informative, thoughtful and generous, Helio provided us with a truly special day of a visit to a winery, an elegant lunch along the river and a visit to a special viewpoint high above the river valley. The service is completely customizable for your specific tour interests. Elegant and Comfortable transportation in a MB Van was perfect. Highly recommended.

Summary: We arranged a half day Sommelier tour with Douro Feeling and found the entire experience to be a great value - and a lot of fun. Tiago was respectful of our time, accommodating our wish to stay longer at the first Quinta and a change in meal plans. They recommended excellent wineries based on duration and location of our lodging. The vehicle was luxury and included water and snacks for the ride. I will recommend them to any wine-loving friend visiting the Douro region.

Summary: Cannot recommend the wine experience more. My girlfriend and I booked a full-day tour of several wineries throughout the Douro Valley, and our tour guide / sommelier, Pedro, made it an unforgettable experience. As a relatively less knowledgeable couple when it came to the history of Douro region / wine making more broadly, Pedro was especially helpful, informative, and fun. This is an absolute must when visiting the Douro Valley!

Summary: We enjoyed an extraordinary day with Ricardo . . . one of the most memorable days of our lives. Ricardo feels like a friend with great local and wine knowledge. We live in Porto and wanted to learn more about wines than port, and Helio set up a perfect day for us . . . 2 tours with tastings, both rich experiences very different from each other. Then a lunch with wine pairings overlooking a wonderful river valley view. We took a rabelo boat ride which let us catch our breath taking in the scenery. We enjoyed the "sommelier surprise" Douro Feeling provides as well as Ricardo teaching us to open champagne with a saber in the prettiest corner of a gorgeous area.
