WW2 Small Arms Experience

Summary: This was an amazing experience. Guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the guns. Could listen to him all day. The shooting was just the cherry on top of the experience.

Summary: Honestly, this experience should be more money. What an amazing afternoon learning about weapons, especially World War 2. The true memobrailia was interesting as were the background stories to them. The first part you are learning the history and then you get to fire three that you choose. We drove over 3 hours and it was well worth it Treat yourself to amazing learning afternoon! We are so glad we did!

Summary: Pete is very knowledgeable and I learned a great deal about the history of firearms. Shooting was just a blast! A very unique experience and one you’ll not find anywhere else.

Summary: Peter is knowledgeable, informative and engaging. My son is the arms buff and Peter patiently answered every question and let him get hands on everything. The shooting portion was the real highlight, and Peter made sure we were all safe and knew how to properly handling procedures.

Summary: The owner was a wealth of knowledge. It was fun to shoot WWII weapons. We would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in WWII or it's weapons.

Summary: Tl:DR - this is a great experience. If you care about history you will get more than you bargained for, and that's a good thing! My wife and I booked this thinking we would get some history of weapons, and then an hour or so "at the range". Instead, we got an entire day's history digging into how and why each specific weapon is what it is leading up to WW2. Pete knows his stuff and will take leads off of you as to how detailed he goes, how in depth. He knows his stuff, not once did he reference any notes in the 5 hour lesson, that's better than most teachers and teachers. It's not a bland history lesson either, Pete goes into detail about specific guns within his collection. That part is what interested me the most, knowing the specific history of a gun, how he acquired it, how he tracked down where it came from and who owned it, who brought it back from the war. All of that history kept me intrigued. While the listing says it's about 4 hours and 30 minutes, we were there for almost 6 and and a half hours. I'm not sure if that's because we were just the two of us and Pete, or if it regularly goes that long, I suggest that Pete updates whatever is necessary to say this is an all day event. We had nothing planned for after, but I can believe that if people had dinner plans, or if they had a far drive (after all, it is the middle of nowhere NH), that they might have something for the 2nd half of the day. After the history lesson (which went quicker than you realized), it was time to pick some guns to shoot. A short walk down a dirt track led to the range. It's about a 25 yard range downhill (you have the high ground). Pete does an excellent job explaining the weapons to you earlier and you get to choose what you want to try out. Not once in the whole experience did I feel worried, threatened, or at risk with all the loaded guns. Only one was loaded at a time, and given directly to the next shooter. We took turns shooting at our own target and it was fun at the end of each round to compare each. Pete provides eye and ear protection, he'll make sure you're comfortable before you get the weapon, and he'll guide you through the whole thing. Overall, this was a great day, and I look forward to booking a future experience with Pete as he builds out his business and adds more of his decades of history for people to explore.
